Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Asia Pacific

In Wrist, we are on an exciting new strategy journey that includes an ambitious growth strategy. For Asia Pacific, we target winning greater market share by doubling our net sales by 2027. This both by growing organically with strong support from our regional and global sales teams, and by a powerful M&A strategy program aiming to acquire multiple companies.

We are therefore seeking a strong, passionate, and experienced Regional Sales and Marketing Director with an international profile to strengthening our commercial footprint in Asia Pacific – with both existing Key Accounts as well as new potential customers.

You have a proven sales track record and clearly demonstrate the ability to influence global shipping customers on a C-level. We expect you to have a strong insight into the drivers of our business on the floor. You will facilitate customer value creation by building a solid bridge between our customers and our global footprint of ship supply services.

The main purpose of this role is to generate tangible value creation for the customer and Wrist. Therefore, you will leverage the traditional ship supply revenue streams with new potential activities in the fields of budget management of provisions, stores, and galley crew training. This powered by technology through our affiliated companies Garrets International and Source2Sea.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-creation and support of our global go-to-market strategy to reach and exceed agreed sales targets for the region
  • Own and build specific customer win plans centered around customer specific value propositions
  • Lead and motivate sales staff regionally and globally to improve the customer journey
  • Drive business development for Singapore, China, and potential new locations in the region
  • Identify and solve customer issues tactically and strategically
  • Assess cost-to-serve and competition to optimize selling prices
  • Close engagement with global and regional stakeholders to balance Group interests against the best possible customer experience
  • Coach and strengthen the commercial teams with focus on developing a stronger talent pipeline
  • Key member of our regional management team

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Proven track record with senior sales leadership responsibility from a global organization
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – to all levels of the organization
  • High empathy, great listener, and ability to engage with all kinds of people
  • Gain trust quickly and orchestrate an approach to be direct, persuasive, and diplomatic
  • Open-minded and willing to drive change
  • Decisive and simplifying difficult decisions quickly
  • Proactive and a strong performer who takes needed actions to close deals and meet targets
  • Understand pains and needs of our customers to establish a clear and mutually beneficial strategic value propositions in co-creation with customers
  • Take ownership and a CEO approach to customer relationships by involving and collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Set and execute clear priorities in a structured and solution-oriented manner
  • Use industry, product knowledge, and experience to create value in the context of account plans with the customers
