We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to address regulatory requirements in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) areas. This role involves estimating resource needs, supporting implementation and ensuring that internal policies and procedures are in place. 

As our new Compliance Manager, you will be positioned within Group Management and report to our Group Head of ESG, with a dotted line to Wrist Ship Supply procurement.

A Compliance Manager who is passionate about ESG
You will have an important role in securing compliance with specific legislations and will additionally support procurement in driving Supply Chain ESG activities and assist with group reporting in accordance with upcoming EU legislation. Furthermore, you will be responsible for establishing a procurement network across all business units to ensure that procurement activities are aligned from Group Management to individual business units.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the establishment of a supplier due diligence system, including supplier risk assessments.
  • Facilitate and coordinate supply chain legislative compliance in collaboration with different business units within the wider Wrist Organization, including legislations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation, Modern Slavery Act and CSDDD.
  • Develop and implement policies such as the Supplier Code of Conduct and Human Rights policy.
  • Support reporting and monitoring of procurement activities in accordance with upcoming EU legislation.
  • Establish and manage a procurement network focused on regulatory compliance and the implementation of ESG objectives from the Group ESG Strategy.

As a person, you are trustworthy, persistent and not afraid to take initiative and act proactively. You have a natural ability to create relations across the organization in the aim of creating good collaboration. You possess strong analytical and communicative skills and manages to convey complex knowledge in an easy-to-understand manner to both internal and external stakeholders.   

Qualifications & requirements
We are aware that candidates in the ESG field can have various educational backgrounds, we are therefore open to what background you might have, but we imagine that you have a higher education, minimum 2-3 years of experience in compliance management from similar areas and are driven by the sustainable agenda.

Moreover, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Proven ability to understand and apply complex regulatory material in practice.
  • Strong skills in policy development and implementation.
  • Ability to support and monitor procurement activities in alignment with upcoming ESG EU legislation.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and presentation skills.
  • Extensive understanding and use of IT – specifically within systems, programs and dataflows in relation to traceability and sustainability.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
