Wrist was acquired by J.F. Lehman & Company, accelerating growth, enhancing operational excellence and advancing digitalization and ESG initiatives.

2022

Wrist acquired Centralam Panama, strengthening its position at a strategically important maritime hub.

Wrist launched eco-friendly product line aware and private labels Njord & Pontus.

2021

Wrist founded and funded the independent startup Source2Sea, a digital marine procurement and supply marketplace.

2020

Wrist Valencia was founded with warehouse and office location. Wrist now serves all ports on the Spanish east coast, strengthening its reach and responsiveness to customer demands in the region.

2019

Wrist acquires Van Hulle, strengthening its position in the ARA market even further

2018

Wrist acquires Klevenberg Shipping Center, enhancing efficiency and customer service in the area.

2016

Wrist acquired Garrets International, one of the world’s leading marine caterers, handling provision supplies and budget control to over 1,000 ships worldwide.

Wrist also opened new facilities in Hamburg, improving service offering in the region and enhancing delivery time as well as frequency significantly.

Other acquisitions and expansions include Southern Ship Supply & Penta Offshore and Marine.

2015

Wrist acquires Den Helder Stores, the leading offshore supplier located in the offshore center of the Netherlands.

Wrist also acquires North Sea Stores: Aberdeen's oldest ships' stores supplier.

2014

Wrist acquires Triton Marine Group Inc.,

2012

Wrist acquires Yamamoto.

2011

Wrist acquired Strachans Ltd., UK’s leading independent food distributor to the offshore market, moving towards expansion into the global offshore oil and gas industry.

2010

Wrist acquired World Ship Supply, West Coast Ship Supply, East Coast Ship Supply and Karlo Corporation (One Source North America) – the largest ship supply organization in North America. This move giving a major footprint into the US and Canadian markets.

2009

Wrist acquires Spanish Huqui-7(HQ7) and Norwegian Torkellsen and French E.A.F.M Sarl.

2008

Wrist acquires Dutch Kooyman Shipchandlers.

2007

Wrist was sold to the Nordic private equity fond Altor, meaning more financial power to support expansions across the globe.

2006

Wrist founded Wrist Marine Logistics - the logistics branch of the wider Wrist Ship Supply organization.

Also, Wrist Far East Malaysia was established as a greenfield operation.

2005

Wrist acquires Danish Supply Corporation and Spanish Intership Algeciras.

2004

Wrist acquires Danish H.S. Hansen.

2002

Wrist acquires American Lone Star Houston.

2000

Wrist established Greenfield operations in the Far East region by setting up an office in Singapore.

1998

Wrist acquires Dubai Barakat Shipchandlers.

1993

Wrist Rotterdam was founded with warehouse and office location.

1988

Wrist acquires Kaj Madsens Eftf.

1985

Wrist acquires A. Chr. Berthelsen ApS.

1975

Wrist acquires Svendborg Ship Supply. Shortly after this aquisition, several custom-built and partly refrigerated lorries were added to the business, making international orders an everyday event. Deliveries could now be made to ships all over continental Europe, Scandinavia and the UK.

1972

Wrist acquires Henry O. Pedersen Eftf.

1969

Ove Wrist & Co. A/S received their first ship stores delivery from outside Denmark. They had deliveries to the Kiel Canal and to ships at ports in Northern Europe.

1966

Ove Wrist retired from the business. The company was turned into a limited company called Ove Wrist & Co. Ltd. At this point, the company had seven employees and the business delivered ship supplies to all Danish ports, covering all of Denmark.

1960

Ove Wrist had four employees and moved into larger premises with room for a grocery shed, a tiny office and a small store room.

1953

Ove Wrist rented a small store room in the port of Aalborg, mainly supplying small coasters coming to the ports of Aalborg and Nørresundby. Soon after, vessels from Finland and Sweden joined the list of customers as well.
