Each year, around Christmas time, Wrist supports the Danish Seamen's Church in Singapore by organizing the delivery of Danish specialties to the church’s annual Christmas Bazaar. This partnership strengthens Wrist’s connection with the seafaring community, providing both logistical services and supporting the Danish community in Singapore.
With our contribution to seafarers, Wrist Singapore’s sponsorship with the Danish Seamen’s Church brings holiday cheers to Danes far from home. Our support includes buying goods for the client, packing shipping containers at the point of origin, transporting goods from Aalborg in Denmark to Singapore, customs clearance, transshipment and delivery to the church.
“Wrist’s commitment to the Danish Seamen’s Church is about supporting seafarers through meaningful, community-oriented sponsorship. Supporting their mission allows us to connect with seafarers abroad, bringing a sense of tradition and belonging in Singapore.” says Mathias Sennicksen, Regional Sales and Marketing Director APAC.
The Christmas Bazaar is the Seamen’s Church’s largest event of the year, promising a warm and festive weekend for seafarers and expatriates, with traditional Danish food and drinks, gift items, Christmas décor and lots of “hygge”.
The Danish Seamen's Church, established in 1867, provides a community space for seafarers, expatriates and travelers. Today, there are 48 Danish Seamen’s churches around the world, including one in Singapore. In Singapore, the church's golden bells—one gifted from a Swedish ship and tied to a royal rescue mission—symbolize the connection between Danish heritage and the international seafaring community, resonating with its mission to connect Danes abroad.
