Garrets is looking for a Vessel Account Manager for Denmark/Belgium

We are looking for a new colleague to join us as Vessel Account Manager – a position where you will get a central role in ensuring, that we meet our goal of being the preferred ‘Partner at Sea’ for the vessels we serve with food provisions and other services. Our customers are sailing worldwide and therefore this position gives you the opportunity to reach every corner of the world.

Garrets International operates as a division of the wider Wrist organization and represents one of the marine industry’s largest and most accomplished food provision and stores management companies. We operate from our headquarter in Nørresundby (Denmark), but also have branches in Romford (United Kingdom), Singapore, Manila (the Philippines) and Antwerp (Belgium) and counts a total of 115 great colleagues. This position can be based in Nørresundby or our newly established premises in Antwerp.

What can you expect from a day in the office:

• You will be part of a dynamic and competent team, that every day takes pride in delivering the best service for our customers and doing it together as a team
• You will get your own assigned fleets, working closely together with the vessel crew to ensure that the crew on board always has sufficient food provisions within the vessels budget
• Budget management, order handling, negotiation with the vessel and supplier, finalizing orders and coordinating of delivery will be a part of the daily tasks
• Proactively guiding and following up on orders and current stock level for the vessel to ensure good, healthy and sufficient provision on board within the vessel's budget
• Be the “one point of contact” for the vessel, building strong relations and driving a high customer satisfaction
• We strive to support the seafarer to a better life at sea and therefore a Vessel Account Manager weekend cover will be a part of the role

The role will require occasional travel - up to 20 days annually, if the position is based in Antwerp.

What you bring to Garrets:

• Experience from a similar position, where order handling, service and customer contact has been your primary activity – you have a natural interest in bringing the customer in focus by building strong relations and guiding them towards the most optimal solution
• Motivated in a dynamic work environment and exhibit flexibility and structure, when things are moving fast and matters are urgent
• Thrive on working independently, but also knows that success is created in collaboration - we help each other and share the workload
• You think as a team player, have a professional approach but also appreciate the social part of the cooperation and bringing in humor, in a sometimes hectic day
• Having experience within the maritime business is not required, but would be a great advantage

Furthermore you have strong English skills, both written and spoken and have a solid experience in the use of ERP systems and MS Office
