Pricing Data Analyst for Global Sales - Denmark

Wrist Ship Supply has launched a central pricing structure as part of its Commercial Excellence team, and is now looking for a Pricing Data Analyst to play a key role in developing our central pricing tool. The position will report to the Pricing Manager, and will be domiciled at the headquarters in Aalborg.

The position

This position has specific focus on the continuous optimization of Wrist’s pricing process – with the objective of optimizing the price setting for every customer and product at a given point in time. Together with a small team of very dedicated employees, you will ensure that Wrist continually improves its pricing approach in close alignment with the company strategy, using a clear and consistent pricing structure across customers, products and global Branch network.

You will focus on the technical development and improvement of the central pricing tool incorporating Wrist’s core pricing logic across the branch network. The tool will provide price recommendations for the local sales teams to be used in the quotation process. It aims to maximize the price realization and minimize the manual pricing effort of the frontline using high-quality data and core elements for price optimization, which are to be translated into technical features in the tool.

An essential part of the job will involve programming the pricing logic and connecting the tool with the relevant interfaces, such as cost or quotation data. You will use your analytical skills to model and improve different pricing features based on the business requirements defined by the Pricing Manager and the branch network.

Job specifications

  • Technical development and enhancement of features to the central pricing tool
  • Translation of feature requirements into modeling logic
  • Definition of feature development in alignment with Pricing Manager
  • Implementation of branch-specific parameters into pricing tool
  • Continuous implementation, testing and refinement of pricing logic
  • Connection of pricing tool with key IT interfaces
  • Analysis of pricing performance for different features.


Your professional and personal qualifications

  • Technical expertise to develop/enhance pricing tool
  • Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and SQL; knowledge of data science field and programming languages such as Python, R is a plus
  • Impressive analytical skills combined with a strong commercial sense
  • Self-driven, results-oriented personality, working both independently as well as in a team
  • A minimum of two years’ work experience in a highly analytical role
  • Degree in economics, finance, computer science, math, physics or comparable qualification
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
