Transforming Infrastructure & Operations
Infrastructure & Operations leadership is transforming to establish a strong foundation for future-proofing Wrist and increasing the agility needed for our digital transformation journey.

To succeed in this role, it requires a firm grasp of stakeholder expectations, an understanding of how to deliver value, clear communication of goals and objectives and optimizing the cost-benefit of our IT infrastructure investments.

Group IT is looking for a leader who can improve business stakeholders' perception of I&O, build trust within distributed teams and lay the groundwork to drive change within the Infrastructure & Operations organization. Furthermore, as our new I&O leader, you should take ownership of the technologies that form our IT infrastructure and the operations that keep them running.

You must challenge and define goals and objectives for both the Infrastructure and Operations teams to achieve. Consequently, you will focus on making and keeping the combined portfolio of infrastructure technologies and operational processes a success—by ensuring that it offers a strong value proposition to customers and users, and that it delivers the desired business benefits.

Part of our IT management team
With reference to Group CIO Peer Omann, you will become part of our strong IT management team in Group IT. The position is based at our HQ in Nørresundby. Group IT is located across our HQ and our growing IT office in Manila. You will be responsible for Infrastructure and Operations, which include a hybrid infrastructure setup and an ambitious cloud strategy. The team delivers services to the IT organization and directly to the businesses that operate worldwide.

Deliver the infrastructure to digitally transform a traditional business

As Head of Infrastructure and Operations, your key responsibility will be the delivery of stable, reliable and secure infrastructure, as well as the operations required to sustain it. You will define the vision for the I&O team, ensuring a strong alignment with the overall IT strategy.

More specifically, your responsibilities will be to

• Deliver a stable and secure I&O setup in a global company with offices in more than 30 locations.
• Work with the IT senior leadership team on managing the service portfolio and governance needed to prioritize resources, including the budget.
• Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT teams and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring the cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
• Create and align an I&O value map by linking targeted business outcomes with the future business capabilities required to achieve them.
• Collaborate with the CISO to ensure that I&O embraces and applies the security strategy.
• Provide direction on which emerging technologies should be incorporated into I&O products and services to successfully deliver the overall IT strategy.
• Drive the adoption of, and commitment to, service improvements.
• Continually review the effectiveness of IT delivery and seek to optimize the value of ITSM.
• Navigate organizational structures both horizontally and vertically to build the most effective stakeholder alliances.
• Build successful relationships by developing a clear understanding of stakeholder needs in the context of the business challenges they face, and act as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications & requirements

To succeed in this position, you should have a solid understanding of current and emerging infrastructure and operations technologies and practices, especially within the Microsoft domain.

Furthermore, we expect you to have:

• Eight to ten years of experience in IT.
• Five or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, vendor management and staffing.
• Demonstrated experience in influencing key stakeholders across a truly global organization and within complex contexts.
• Preferably, demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational infrastructure initiatives in complex, dynamic environments.
• Experience in leading cloud adoption, including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects, and modifying I&O’s target operating model.
• Strong third-party management skills, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers.
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources required for success may not be under direct control of this role.
• Ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
• Experience in developing governance practices to track and measure the quality of services and maintain service improvement plans.
• Experience leading teams distributed across continents and time zones is a plus.
