Group Collections Manager

Wrist Group is looking for a Group Collections Manager to drive the collection activities, including the need to re-define current processes and practices after an organizational transition from local structure to a global approach incl. shared service set-up. The role will predominantly be focused on collection strategies and operations, but will also be responsible for managing the Group’s credit policy and process.

With reference to the Group Finance Director, you will be part of a dedicated Group Finance team with decentral process managers in the regions and with a strong shared service team in Manila, Philippines. The position is based in Noerresundby, Denmark.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full implementation of the transition from local to shared service collections processes.
  • Continuous improvement of these operational collection processes and implement best practice throughout the organization.
  • Together with the local and regional management; prioritize and strategize on the most effective methods to minimize loss and maintain strong customer relations.
  • The role has one direct report - a Global Group Collector, based in Texas, and indirect leadership of Global AR Team consisting of teams regionally and a team at the shared service center Manila. External advisors are available for difficult collection situations.
  • Secure optimal system support to the collection processes.
  • Provide credit rating, grants and recommendation of credits to new and potential customers.
  • Monitor and follow-up on registered credit lines.
  • Act as the member of the Credit committee, and provide the necessary communication to minimize risks or losses.

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience of operating within finance processes in an international company, preferably in a role with significant account receivables.
  • Formal education at Master or Bachelor level within a finance discipline preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English, and comfortable working in an English speaking environment.
  • Working in many different time zones will require work schedule flexibility.

People and personality skills

  • The role calls for strong relations building skills (business leaders, collectors and customers alike).
  • Ability to act in ambiguous situations, and managing a non-linear process where many stakeholders must be heard.
  • Risk alert mindset.
