Drive strategic projects and implement best-in-class and digital procurement processes and tools

Our Procurement organization plays a vital role in supporting our “Connect 2027” strategy, where we leverage our economy of scale and further develop procurement into best in industry on price, S/C, compliance, ESG, Master data, e-commerce and digital ways of working.  

As our new Director, Procurement Excellence, you will get a leading role in professionalizing and streamlining the way we work, including automation and digitization, data management, as well as defining and developing key processes and tools – all together with your team and the rest of the Procurement organization. The role is part of the global procurement leadership team, hence sitting in the center of the entire procurement transformation.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive strategic projects, including focusing on our digital journey, execution of the ESG strategy and risk management
  • Define, develop, implement and support best in class processes, frameworks and procurement tools, including procurement processes and evaluation, category management – and category strategy framework and supplier relationship management concept
  • Drive procurement Master data enabling e-commerce
  • Identify optimization opportunities, including automation, digitization and offshoring
  • Provide guidance, support and leadership to a team of 5 direct reports and provide the functional guidance to a team consisting of 13 colleagues – all situated globally

You will cooperate closely with colleagues globally in procurement, sales and warehouses. Therefore, it is crucial that you can collaborate and communicate at all levels and understand that cross-functional collaboration is the key to success in our matrix organization.

In this role, you must expect to travel both domestically and internationally for approximately 20-30 days per year.

In addition, you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics or the similar is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience from a procurement excellence or commercial business development with an international company
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • A proven track record in having led strategic projects, experience with both strategy development and development of tools and process frameworks and how to anchor and execute them
  • Strong experience with digitalization and insight into ESG
  • Strong analytical skills and very strong in communication, verbally and written
