Wrist Ship Supply, a world leader in procuring and delivering supplies to the marine industry, is looking for an experienced Daily Manager to direct and lead the branch operations. The job is based in Valencia.

The Ship Supply business never sleeps, and our Valencia team works tirelessly to ensure our customers receive “just in time” deliveries and that the ship crews has all everything they need for their on-ward journey.

The successful candidate for this role will have significant experience in the marine supply market. This role focuses on creating a productive work environment for the team, and requires a mix of personal leadership capabilities, logistics management and people management, all underpinned by a philosophy of operational excellence. The team consists of around 20 colleagues with different functions, including drivers, warehouse keepers, sales, logistics, etc.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Direct all operational aspects, including distribution, operations, customer service and overall branch administration
  • Focus on operational excellence in all aspects of the business, driving sustainable improvement
  • Create a branch environment that brings out the best in the employees by providing training, coaching, development and motivation
  • Continuously optimizing process and planning resource
  • Ensure customer and employee satisfaction issues are handled promptly
  • Stay updated and manage all industry standards, rules and regulations
  • Keeping abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration

 Qualifications & requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a commercial, supply chain or logistics discipline is preferred, or equivalent specific experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to meet targets and production goals
  • Some familiarity with sales and procurement practices
  • Familiarity with industrys rules and regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Results driven and customer-focused
  • Process oriented – e.g. Lean Six Sigma
  • Leadership and human resources management skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
