Wrist group, the holding company for the Wrist ship supply, began operating in the last 1950's and has become one of the world's leading general ship suppliers.

In addition to the facilities in Aalborg Denmark, Wrist Europe (Aalborg) have branches in Frederikshavn, Kalundborg and Copenhagen in Denmark; Rotterdam in Holland, Sharjah/Dubai in the U.A.E., Singapore, and Houston/New Orleans in the U.S.A. Aalborg, Rotterdam, Dubai, Singapore and Houston branches have extensive warehouse facilities, with an impressive range of stocked items.

History

In the early 1950's, after having worked many years for the ship supplier Axel Carlsen, 56 year old Ove Wrist was urged by two good friends to start his own company. They agreed to act as guarantors and in 1953, Ove Wrist rented a small store room in C. Clausen's Warehouse in the port of Aalborg on the present site of the Limfjordsterminalen. .
